Meet Sofia!

At Clapping Dog Media, we’re here for good.

We’re here for the long game, and we’re here to do good in the work we do every day.

And the best part?

Doing good matters, and we’re SO excited to share with you one way that Clapping Dog Media has been doing good with our resources over the past year.

Meet Sofia. She’s 4 years old and lives in Uganda. And because of you Clapping Dog Media is able to send monthly support, love and letters to little Sofia.

We sponsor Sofia through Compassion International, an organization that is dear to our hearts. Meg has been sponsoring through Compassion for long time, and she’s even gotten to visit the villages of children that she sponsors!

Here’s what Meg has to say about her visits to the villages of her sponsored children:
“It’s easy to think that the kids we sponsor don’t know who we are…but when I saw letters from sponsors plastered on walls of homes like wallpaper, it made sponsorship extra meaningful and special”.

Visiting the village was a special experience for Meg and she can’t wait for her next trip one day. Until that can happen though, we’re focusing on showing Sofia how much she’s loved by sending her a monthly letter.

2017: Year In Review

Friends, Happy New Year!!

Are you all rested from a break over the holidays?

We certainly are, and we’re back at it this week with our hearts full of excitement (and our tummies full of pie) for what 2018 has in store.

But first—let’s look back at 2017, because it was a full year for us at Clapping Dog Media.

2017 Highlights

We worked with over 65 amazing clients across US, Canada, and Europe. We are some lucky ladies to get to work with these kind, smart, and talented clients.

Our team grew to 4! Ashley, our social media genius, joined our team in early 2017, and Tina joined as Meg’s admin mid-year. Rachael continued to write for the blog and Clapping Dog Media clients, and of course, Meg continues to steer the ship and do what she does best: get clients a big boost in SEO rankings.

Our Success is Our Client Success, which makes us so happy for our wins. There are so many client success stories that we’ve decided to create a #Page1Club celebrating clients who get found on the front page of Google (watch for those posts on social media!)

Looking Ahead to 2018!

2017 was super strong for Clapping Dog Media and our clients, but we just know that 2018 is going to be even better. Here’s what’s coming for us this year.

In-Person Events

Meg is super excited to get to meet lots of online faces in person when she presents at The Workshop Phx, hosted by one of our amazing clients, Bloguettes. Meg will be speaking on all things SEO, and can’t wait to share what she knows with their audience.

I always talk about how wonderful guest blogging is for SEO, and it’s time for me to practice what I preach! Gifts that Give

Hi friends!

We’ve had so much fun with our Season of Giving series!

So far we’ve given three lucky winners gift packages but this week we’re focusing on something a little different. We’ve given gifts to you, our wonderful readers, and now we’re showcasing gifts you can give others that also give to those in need.

Here’s how we came up with this idea:

Meg is deeply passionate about giving back to people in need and tries to make as many purchases as possible that support people. Typically in December, she would host a “Gifts that Give” party in her house, but this year we are going even bigger.

Raven & Lily creates high-quality on-trend clothing and jewelry handmade by women all around the world. Their pieces are influenced by seasonal fashion trends, as well as cultural style in the countries where the products are made. They employ than 1,500 at-risk women in 10 countries around the world and are a certified B-Corp. We adore everything they have, but especially love their gorgeous black, white, and gold home decor. We want one of everything!

Sseko is a fashion brand based in Uganda. They employ women from all walks of life and have a mission of sending all team members to college. So far they’ve enabled 87 women to attend university! They started with their signature sandals, and have since expanded their brand to include apparel and jewelry, and we love it all.

Thistle Farms seeks to HEAL, EMPOWER, AND EMPLOY women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. They have an amazing selection of body and home products that we just love (they make them in-house!). Plus, you can visit their Cafe in Nashville, and see these goods for yourself. Next time we’re in Nashville, we’re going!
